Northridge, CA (Sports Network) - Miah Davis and Tyler Newton each tallied 22
points in leading the Pacific Tigers to an 86-78 victory over the Cal State-
Northridge Matadors in Big West Conference action from The Matadome.

Davis finished with eight rebounds, while Newton went a perfect 7-of-7 from
the floor. Guillaume Yango added 13 points for the Tigers (13-7, 8-1 BWC),
while Christian Maraker turned in 10 points and 10 rebounds. The win was
Pacific's fourth in a row.

Ian Boylan led the Matadors (7-10, 3-6) with 20 points and seven rebounds.
Davin White contributed 16 points and five boards, while Thomas Shewmake added
14 points and nine rebounds. Sergei Lepiashinski tallied 11 points and Eto
Onyenegecha 10 points in the losing effort.

Pacific shot 55.6 percent from the floor in the first half, opening up a 44-40
lead at the break.

In the second stanza, the Tigers converted 18-of-26 free-throw attempts, as
they held on for the eight-point victory.

Pacific made 27-of-36 shots from the foul line in the contest, while the
Matadors hit on 16-of-20 attempts from the charity stripe.
