Cal State Fullerton 74, Long Beach State 66 Long Beach, CA (Sports Network) - Pape Sow netted 20 points and grabbed 11
rebounds in leading the Cal State-Fullerton Titans to a 74-66 victory over the
Long Beach State 49ers in Big West Conference play from The Pyramid.

Yaphett King also turned in 20 points for the Titans (5-8, 1-3 BWC), who
snapped their four-game losing streak. Bobby Brown and Bron Groomes each
turned in 10 points and four rebounds in the winning effort.

Jibril Hodges paced the 49ers (4-10, 2-3) in defeat with 20 points on 5-of-9
shooting from long range. Kevin Roberts added 10 points and seven boards, as
Long Beach State dropped its third straight game.

In the first half, the Titans shot 53.1 percent from the floor, including a 6-
of-8 effort from behind the arc, as they opened up a 43-31 lead at the break.

In the second stanza, the 49ers outscored Fullerton State, 35-31, but it
wasn't enough in an eight-point setback.

The Titans won the battle on the boards, 39-34, including an 18-12 edge on the
offensive glass.
