Pacific 66, Cal State Fullerton 64
Fullerton, CA (Sports Network) - Christian Maraker poured in a game-high 26
points to lead the Pacific Tigers to a thrilling 66-64 overtime victory
against the Cal State-Fullerton Titans in Big West Conference action from
Titan Gym.
Maraker made 9-of-19 field goal attempts for the Tigers (7-6, 2-0 BWC), while
also pulling down six rebounds.
David Doubley added 18 points for Pacific, converting 5-of-6 long range
attempts.
Pape Sow paced the Titans (4-7, 0-2) in defeat with a double-double, scoring
22 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Anthony Bolton had 13 points in the losing
effort, as CS-Fullerton shot just 24 percent from beyond the arc.
Pacific made 9-of-19 three-point attempts in the first half of action and held
a 38-28 lead going into the break.
Fullerton went on a 13-2 run at end of the second stanza, sending the game
into overtime knotted at 58-58.
Doubley hit a three-pointer with 1:08 remaining in the extra period, which
ended up being the game winner and allowed Pacific to capture the two-point
victory.
The Tigers converted 45.8 percent of their three-point attempts and made 11-
of-15 free throw attempts, while holding Fullerton to 42.6 percent shooting
from the field.
