Cal Poly 93, USC 78 Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Kameron Gray exploded for a career-high 32
points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead the Cal Poly Mustangs to a surprising
93-78 victory over the USC Trojans in a non-league matchup from LA Sports
Arena.

Shane Schilling added 24 points for Cal Poly (4-3), while Varnie Dennis and
Nick Enzweiller contributed 12 and 11 points, respectively.

Desmon Farmer poured in 29 points for USC (4-3), but the Trojans lost for the
second time in their last three outings. Lodrick Stewart tallied 14 points,
Errick Craven netted 13 and Jeff McMillan chipped in 10 points in the setback.

USC used 51.4 percent shooting from the field in the first half to take a slim
44-41 lead at the break. Cal Poly also shot well in the frame, connecting on
48.3 percent from the floor and 62.5 percent (5-of-8) from beyond the arc.

The Mustangs maintained their shooting touch in the second stanza while the
Trojans' accuracy fell off. USC shot just 31.6 percent from the field in the
frame, including only 18.8 percent (3-of-16) from long distance. As a result,
Cal Poly dominated the second-half scoring by a 52-34 margin to earn the 15-
point win.
