points apiece to lead the Cal-Santa Barbara Gauchos to a 78-59 victory over
the Cal Poly-SLO Mustangs in Big West Conference play.

Nick Jones tallied 13 points and Cecil Brown added 11 points for Cal-Santa
Barbara (9-5, 3-2 BWC), which has won three of its last four games.

Shane Schilling poured in 26 points in defeat for Cal Poly-SLO (6-7, 1-4),
which has lost four of its last five games. Varnie Dennis and Kameron Gray
added 10 points apiece for the Mustangs.

Cal-Santa Barbara owned a 37-27 advantage at intermission after shooting 53.6
percent from the floor in the first half, including 5-of-9 from three-point
range.

The Gauchos nailed all four of their three-point attempts and 11-of-15 free
throws in the second half to seal the victory.

Rebounding proved to be the biggest factor in the win for Cal-Santa Barbara,
as it earned a 47-25 advantage on the boards.
