NIXON EIGHTH PLAYER TO BE NAMED POY AND TOURNAMENT MVP: Long Beach State senior guard Aaron Nixon became the eighth player in Big West history to earn the league's Player of the Year and Tournament Most Valuable Player award in the same season.
