UC Irvine opened its 2017 campaign with a perfect 2-0 mark after defeating two ranked teams in No. 24 Cal Baptist and No. 23 CSU Bakersfield.

UC Irvine took down No. 24 Cal Baptist 20-4 Saturday. The 20 goals ranked seventh-best all time in Anteater program history. Irvine outscored its two opponents 33-7 over the weekend.
HARVEY HAD A WEEKEND
UC Davis senior Hannah Harvey had a weekend, recording career-highs in goals (4), total points (6) and steals (6) to help the Aggies to its first victory over No. 22 CSUN.
FAIRCHILD TIES CAREER-HIGH
CSUN junior Katelyn Fairchild tied her career-high five scores in a single game against league foe, No. 19 UC Davis enroute to a seven-score weekend. The junior added four steals and three assists as well. Fairchild paces the Matadors with 16 goals and 18 steals on the season.
SIGHTS ON STANFORD
UC Irvine, UC Davis and Hawai‘i head to northern Calif. for the Stanford Invitational where they’ll face a slew of ranked opponents over the weekend including the No. 1 Cardinal.
