Rules
Each shooting spot is worth a different point value, ranging from 1 to 6 points based on the difficulty of the shot. All rounds will be 30 seconds in length.
- One player begins on the half-court line with the ball. The second player begins at any place within the half court area.
- The referee indicates when play begins. The player at half court can dribble to any shooting spot or pass the ball to his/her teammate.
- Teammates must alternate shots.
- An individual player cannot shoot consecutively from the same spot.
- Each player must begin his/her shot touching the marked shooting spots on the court.
- If player 1 shoots, player 2 dribbles or is passed the ball for the next shot.
- There is no “out-of-bounds”. Spotters will only stop the ball and will not pass the ball back into play.
- The last shot must leave the player’s hand before the final buzzer in order for the shot to count.
A 30-second shootout tiebreaker will determine the winner if there is a tie at the end of any round of the competition.
The Event Manager has final ruling on all disputes.
