Steve Chen enters his fourth year at the Big West Conference, overseeing the conference's live video streaming and video exchange programs.

His responsibilities include working in partnership with CBS College Sports Network to develop media content for the conference. He currently oversees video streaming for seven sports, including women's volleyball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's soccer, baseball, and softball. He also provides technical support for the Big West's video exchange initiative for women's volleyball as well as men's and women's basketball.

Prior to coming to the Big West, Chen worked at UC Irvine as an assistant coach and in various other capacities for the men's basketball program from 2002 to 2006.

He and his wife, Kindra, live in Tustin with their daughter, Danica, and son, Colin.
