Mike Villamor is in his 15th year with the conference office as the coordinator for all media operations and publicity projects.

He has sport responsibilities for men’s and women’s soccer, men’s basketball, tennis and women’s water polo, while overseeing softball. He also administers the conference's official website for content and other publicity initiatives.

Villamor handles the media operations for the Big West Basketball Tournament and tennis championships, and was the staff’s liaison for tennis for three years.

In 2008 he served as the Media Relations Coordinator for the first and second rounds of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament and held the same position for the 2011 West Regional.

A native of Sacramento, Calif., Villamor graduated from Santa Clara in 1994 with a degree in Communications. He joined the Big West after serving as a public relations assistant for the West Coast Conference. He also was the media relations director of the San Jose Grizzlies of the Continental Indoor Soccer League during the 1995 season. While at Santa Clara, he was the sports editor of the Santa Clara student newspaper.

Villamor resides in Lake Forest.
