Mike Villamor is in his 13th year with the Big West and sixth as the league's information director.

His role with the conference includes overseeing and coordinating all media relations projects. In addition, his sports responsibilities are women's soccer, men's basketball, water polo and tennis, in which he produces annual publications and weekly press releases. He also oversees the conference's official website.

Villamor serves as the media coordinator for the Big West Basketball Tournament, as well as the staff liaison for tennis. In 2008 he served as the Media Relations Coordinator for the first and second rounds of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament.

A native of Sacramento, Calif., Villamor graduated from Santa Clara in 1994 with a degree in Communications. He joined the Big West after serving as a public relations assistant for the West Coast Conference. He also was the media relations director of the San Jose Grizzlies of the Continental Indoor Soccer League during the 1995 season. While at Santa Clara, he was the sports editor of the Santa Clara student newspaper.

Villamor resides in Irvine.
