Erica Monteabaro is in her 10th year with the conference office. She serves as the assistant commissioner for compliance and governance.

Monteabaro's responsibilities include coordinating the review of student-athlete eligibility and institutional compliance, along with rules education of the members, and is the primary Big West/NCAA rule interpreter. She also oversees the processing of rules infractions and serves as the legislative specialist for the conference.

In addition, Monteabaro serves as the staff liaison to the conference's Compliance Committee, Faculty Athletics Representatives and Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. She also oversees the sport of women's volleyball.

Monteabaro graduated from UC Santa Barbara in 2000 with a Bachelor's degree in Business Economics.

Monteabaro served as an intern in the conference office for two summers before taking on her full-time position. She also worked in the UCSB athletic department as a student assistant in marketing and promotions. Monteabaro has done some work for Antelope Valley College, compiling a Title IX Self Study report.

Monteabaro and her husband, Andrew, live in Lakewood.
