CHRIS HARGRAVES
ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF CHAMPIONSHIPS
6th SEASON

Chris Hargraves enters his sixth season with the Big West Conference, his first as the league’s Assistant Director of Championships.

His primary duties include operations and coordination of the conference championships as well as aiding in the annual Big West Tour, a marketing initiative for the Big West Basketball Tournament. In addition, Hargraves is the league’s primary administrator for cross country and track & field, is involved with game management for the round robin sports and participates in website and social media initiatives.

Prior to his move to the Big West, he served as the Mid-Continent Conference media relations assistant for the 2005-06 school year.

Hargraves graduated from the University of Rochester in May 2005 with a Bachelor's degree in political science and a minor in religion. As an undergraduate student, he worked in the sports information department for four years covering 10 different sports. Hargraves served in a number of capacities during his tenure at Rochester, including a stint as a media contact for the 2005 Division III Men’s Basketball Final Four.

He was also a member of the Yellow Jackets football team for four years. During that time, he amassed three varsity letters to go along with All-Rookie and All-UAA selections.

Hargraves resides in Costa Mesa.
