Big West Conference Commissioner Dennis Farrell announced today that seven of the league's men's basketball teams will compete in non-conference games that were selected from the pool of teams comprising the O'Reilly ESPNU BracketBusters field. All seven non-televised games will take place on Saturday, February 17.
The seven games include four Big West schools as designated home teams and the other three as designated road teams. Home games include Portland State at Cal Poly, Eastern Washington at UC Santa Barbara, Hawai'i at Long Beach State and Cleveland State at Cal State Northridge.
Road games feature UC Irvine at San Francisco, UC Riverside at Idaho and Pacific at Montana.
As part of the agreement for participating in ESPNU BracketBusters, all designated home teams will play a return game at the home facility of their opponent in November or December of the following season.
It was announced yesterday that Cal State Fullerton will participate in the televised portion of the O'Reilly ESPNU BracketBusters event on Saturday, February 17 as the Titans travel to Dayton, Ohio to take on the Wright State Raiders. The Titans are included in one of the 14 games that will be broadcast on ESPN2, ESPNU or ESPN 360.
