After a hot start to the NCAA Division I Men's Golf Regional, Pacific struggled in the final round to finish seventh at the Pullman Regional at the Palouse Ridge Golf Course.
The Tigers entered the third round tied for fifth but slipped two spots today after carding 295 for a three-day total of 6-under 858, two strokes back from the fifth and final spot in the NCAA Championship.
The 2013 Big West Men's Golf Championship individual medalist, Eric Sugimoto, finished with a three-round score of 210 to tie for eighth, which happened to be one stroke shy of advancing to the NCAA Championship as an individual. SeungJae Maeng tied for 29th with a 1-under 215 and Byron Meth carded even-par 216 to place T37th. Alex Edfort shot 219 for the tournament, tying for 49th, while Drew Bender registered 224, good enough for T62nd.
After firing back-to-back under-par rounds of 67 and 71, UC Davis' Tyler Raber, who competed as an individual at the Pullman Regional, shot 3-over 75 on day three. His three-day total of 214 knotted him in 23rd.
UC Santa Barbara's Glen Scher concluded the Tempe Regional tied for 59th after tallying 222 (79-70-73).
