For the second consecutive season, the Big West will place four teams in the Women's National Invitational Tournament field. Pacific, Long Beach State, UC Santa Barbara and Hawai'i were all placed in the tourney, part of a 64-team field.

First-round action tips off on Wednesday, March 20 and concludes on Friday, March 22. Second-round games begin March 23-25, round three March 27-29, quarterfinals March 30-April 1, and semifinals April 3-4. The championship game will be played on Saturday, April 6 and will be televised live and in HD at 3 p.m. ET on CBS Sports Network. All games are hosted by participating schools.

The Tigers (25-7) earned an automatic bid to the WNIT after being Big West regular season champions and falling in the Big West Tournament championship game. The team is making its second straight appearance in the WNIT, and hosting for the second straight year. Pacific will take on Arkansas-Little Rock (24-8) out of the Sun Belt Conference in the Spanos Center on Friday.

LBSU (16-15) was awarded an at-large berth into the field and will host Utah (18-13) of the Pac-12 Conference in a first round game on Wednesday. This is the 49ers' first postseason berth since 2000 and its second foray into the WNIT, the first coming in that 2000 field.

UCSB (16-16) will make its second straight postseason appearance in as many seasons under Carlene Mitchell. The Gauchos will hit the road for their first round WNIT matchup, heading to south to take on San Diego State (26-6) out of the Mountain West Conference on Wednesday.

UH (17-13) is making its seventh WNIT appearance, and first since a four-year run from 2000-03. The Wahine will also be on the road as they take on San Diego on Thursday. A potential second round matchup between UH and LBSU could be in the cards if both clubs win their first round matchups.

The four bids equals the most berths awarded to the Big West Conference.
