Dome, Fawcett Advances to Doubles Round of 16

The Cal Poly men's doubles team of Andre Dome and Matt Fawcett will live to see another day at the NCAA Men's Tennis Championship when they picked up a straight-set win over the No. 13-ranked team of Jonas Lutjen and Nik Scholtz of Mississippi.

The No. 68-ranked Mustang duo won the first set in a 7-6 tiebreaker. The team dominated in the second set, 6-3, to secure the win.

The team will advance to the round of 16 on Friday against the No. 7-ranked team of Panav Jha and Eric Quigley from Kentucky.  The match will begin at 12:30 p.m. (PDT) on the campus of the University of Georgia at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex.  For live video and scoring, please click on the link to follow the action.

The Kentucky team defeated a team from Bucknell, 6-2, 6-0, to advance to the next round.

Dome will be familiar with Quigley's game as the Kentucky player defeated Dome in the first round of singles play on Wednesday.
