Delio, Hansen Receives PING All-Region Accolades
Cal State Northridge senior Nick Delio capped his Matador career by being named to the 2011 PING All-West Region Team. Delio, the 2011 Big West Player of the Year, concluded his senior season with a school record 71.48 scoring average. His four-year stroke average of 71.91 is also a Cal State Northridge record. He capped his career with an 11th-place finish at the NCAA West Regional on May 19-21.

After earning 2011 Big West Freshman Mens Golfer of the Year distinction, UC Davis' Matt Hansen collected PING All-West Region team honors. Hansen received this honor after winning the NCAA Southwest Regional by two strokes to become the Aggies' first mens golf representative at the NCAA Championship.

UC Davis Claims Back-To-Back Championships With Record-Setting Performance
UC Davis fired a final round 292 for a three-day total of 867 to claim its second straight Big West Women's Golf Championship at the Tijeras Creek Golf Club in Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif. The Aggies' broke an 11-year Big West Women's Golf Championship team record of 871 set by New Mexico State back in 1999. Long Beach State finished second after firing a three-day score of 885 and was followed by Cal Poly (895) in third and UC Irvine (901) in fourth. Rounding out the seven-team field is UC Riverside (922), Cal State Northridge (926) and Cal State Fullerton (947).

UC Davis' Alice Kim ran away with top individual medalist honors after blasting a three-round score of 207, which shattered the Big West Womens Golf Championship record of 209 set by Cal State Northridge's Beth Allen in 2004. Kim opened the tournament tying the course record with a 6-under 66 and was one stroke shy of matching her performance on Monday with a 5-under 67. Monica Villareal from Long Beach State secured the second spot on the leaderboard after carding a 4-under 212. One stroke back in third place is UC Davis' Demi Runas with a 3-under total of 213, while UC Riverside's Amelia Ek and UC Irvine's Lalita Patipaksiri tied for fourth at 219.

UC Davis Advances To Women's NCAA Championship
Senior Alice Kim fired a tournament-best tying 6-under 66 during Saturday's final round of the NCAA Division I Women's Golf West Regional, helping propel UC Davis to a third-place tie and its second berth in the NCAA Finals in the past four years. The Aggies, who advanced to the national finals during their inaugural Div. I year in 2008 after winning a three-team playoff at the regional against Stanford and Ohio State, placed themselves in solid position from the start of this weeks event and remained in the top four after each round. The Aggies, who finished the year ranked 26th, according to Golfweek, finished 20th at the NCAA Championships. They were led by Amy Simanton, who placed 15th with a four-round score of 293.

Aggies, 'Eaters Rewarded
UC Davis' Demi Runas picked up Big West Women's Golf Player of the Year accoaldes and Anne Walker nabbed the Big West Women's Golf Coach of the Year award. Rounding out the top honors is UC Irvines Ronnie Valerio, who earned Big West Women's Golf Freshman of the Year.

UC Davis Claims Team Title, Medalist Honors
For the second time in three years the UC Davis Aggies claimed the Big West Men's Golf Championship that was held at the Mission Viejo Country Club in Mission Viejo, Calif. UC Davis posted a three-round total of 871 (288-288-295), besting second place Pacific by 17 strokes. The Tigers finished the tournament with a score of 888 and were followed by Cal State Northridge (895) and Cal Poly (897). Placing fifth at 902 was UC Irvine and UC Santa Barbara (921) grabbed the sixth spot. Closing out the nine-team field was Long Beach State (931), Cal State Fullerton (933) and UC Riverside (938).

Walking away with medalist honors was UC Davis' Austin Graham, who carded a 6-under 210. Proving to be the most consistent player on the course that week, Graham fired three rounds of 70 to reach his total. This is the second conference tournament win for the senior who beat teammate Ramie Sprinkling for medalist honors on the first playoff hole at the 2009 event. Cal State Northridge's Nick Delio, who set a competitive course record with a 5-under 67 a day earlier, finished in second place at 214 (74-67-73). Claiming the third slot was Cal Poly's Bryan Pierce with an even-par 216 (69-73-74).

UC Davis, Pacific And Quartet Of Individuals Advance to Men's NCAA's
The NCAA announced the selections for the 2011 NCAA Division I Mens Golf Regionals and Big West Champion UC Davis and Pacific received a bid into the regional, along with four other Big West players who advanced to the postseason as individuals. Cal Polys Geoff Gonzalez competed in the central regional and did well enough to advance to the NCAA Championship, along with Aggie Matt Hansen, who was the individual medalist at the Southwest Regional. Nick Delio (Cal State Northridge), Glen Scher (UC Santa Barbara) and Jerry He (UC Irvine) were selected to the west regional.

Cal State Northridge, UC Davis Take Home Top Big West Men's Honors
Cal State Northridge's Nick Delio is the 2011 Big West Men's Golf Player of the Year, as selected by the nine league head coaches. UC Davis collected the other two top honors with Matt Hansen being named Big West Mens Golf Freshman of the Year and Cy Williams earning the nod for Big West Men's Golf Coach of the Year award.
