Correia Helps Cal Poly Close 2011 With 6-5 Victory
Freshman shortstop Ashley Romano homered twice and senior catcher Stephanie Correia closed her collegiate career with a one-out, walk-off base hit during the bottom of the eighth inning as the Cal Poly softball program finished the 2011 campaign and handed head coach Jenny Condon her 200th career victory with a 6-5 triumph versus Pacific on Saturday afternoon at Bob Janssen Field.

UCSB Completes Sweep Of UC Davis
UC Santa Barbara (27-26, 11-10) completed its series sweep of Big West Conference foe UC Davis (22-28, 7-14) on Saturday afternoon with a 2-0 win at Campus Diamond. With the victory, the Gauchos end the season with a winning record for the ninth time in the last 10 years and they finished conference play with a winning mark for the first time since 2008.

Northridge Holds Off Fullerton's Rally For 4-3 Win In Season Finale
The Cal State Northridge softball team (22-31, 10-11 Big West) defeated Cal State Fullerton, 4-3, Saturday afternoon at Anderson Family Field in the series and season finale. Leading 4-1 in the bottom of the seventh, CSUN successfully repelled a Fullerton comeback attempt as Carly Wade earned her third save of the season.
