Big West representatives Jenifer Widjaja of Pacific, and Brittany Blalock and Suzie Matzenauer of Cal Poly discovered their first round opponents in the NCAA Division I Women's Tennis Singles and Doubles Championships, which run May 26-31 at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex in Athens, Ga., hosted by the University of Georgia.

Widjaja, the 2010 Big West Player of the Year, will face North Carolina's Sanaz Marand in the first round on Wednesday, May 26.  If she wins, she will face either Chelsey Gullickson from host Georgia or Northwestern State's Martina Rubesova in the second round.

It is the second straight appearance for Widjaja in the singles championships.  She fell to No. 3 seed Aurelija Miseviciute of Arkansas in the 2009 first round.

In 2010, Widjaja finished 18-3 in spring dual matches for the Tigers, earning a national ranking as high as No. 73.  She is currently No. 82 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings.  Widjaja posted a perfect 8-0 record against Big West opponents in the regular season, and enters the NCAA's on a 13-match win streak.

Blalock and Matzenauer finished 17-3 in spring duals as the No. 1 Cal Poly doubles team.  The senior duo have been paired up against Baylor seniors Csilla Borsanyi and Lenka Broosova.  Borsanyi and Broosova are ranked No. 11 in the May 3 ITA poll, while Blalock and Matzenauer are 48th-ranked.

The match takes place on Thursday, May 27.  The winner will take on Clemson's Josipa Bek and Ina Hadziselimovic or Marshall's Michaela Kissell and Dominica Zaprazna on Friday, May 28.

Blalock and Matzenauer rolled through Big West play undefeated and helped the Mustangs capture the doubles point in 18 of 23 spring dual matches.  The duo's most significant win came on March 21 when they upset the then-No. 2 ranked Stanford tandem of Lindsay Burdette and Hilary Barte, 8-5.  Burdette and Barte are seeded No. 2 in the NCAA Championship.

As a sophomore in 2008, Blalock participated in the NCAA Doubles tournament with then-partner Steffi Wong.  The two lost to Marija Milic and Vanja Corovic of Texas, 6-4, 6-4 in the first round.
