Texas Tech scored a run in the first inning, and it held up as the Red Raiders edged UC Davis 1-0 in an elimination game at the Stanford Regional Saturday afternoon at Smith Family Stadium. The loss ends the Aggies' season at 26-29. UC Davis was playing in its first NCAA Division I Softball Championship after receiving an automatic bid by winning the Big West Conference. Alex Holmes pitched a complete-game six hitter with eight strikeouts.
