Cal State Northridge's Nick Delio is atop the leaderboard after the second round of play at the NCAA Southwest Regional, putting him one more round of solid play away from reaching the NCAA Championships.
Delio was 3-under for the second round to move to 4-under for the tournament. He holds a one shot lead over two players heading into the third round of play Saturday.
UC Irvine is also at the Southwest Regional, holding on to ninth place in the field at +24. John Chin made a huge jump to lead the Anteaters after round two, posting a -1 Friday to move to +3 for the tournament. Jerry He was 1-over Friday to move to +4 for the tournament, while Bryan Harris (+10), Max Greil (+11) and Michael Yang (+17) round out the UCI competitors.
The other Big West athlete competing at the NCAA Regionals is Austin Graham who is participating in the West Regional in Bremerton, Wash. Graham fired a 1-over 73 on Friday during the second round, moving up six spots into a tie for 25th at the 7,104-yard Olympic Course at Gold Mountain Golf Club.
