Hawai'i Tops UC Davis To Open NCAA Regional Play

UC Davis dropped the first NCAA Tournament game in program history Friday to #16 seed Hawai'i.

UC Davis began its first NCAA Division I Softball Tournament, Friday, with a 10-2 setback to No. 19 Hawai'i in the first game of the Stanford Regional at Smith Family Stadium. The Rainbow Wahine took an early 5-0 lead and then scored four unearned runs to end the game in the fifth inning. Kylie Fan drove in both runs for the Aggies. Fan, Elizabeth Santana, Alex Holmes, Sarah Axelson and JJ Wagoner each had hits for UC Davis (26-28).
