Playing in their third NCAA Tournament in five years, the #16 seeded UC Riverside women's basketball team had the daunting task of facing #1 seeded and No. 2 nationally ranked Stanford in the first round at Maples Pavilion on Saturday evening. The Cardinal proved its national ranking, however, by earning a 79-47 win over UCR in the NCAA Tournament.
