Junior Jessica Gonzalez rapped out a walk-off single in the opening game while freshman shortstop Elizabeth Santana tallied six hits for the day as UC Davis split a non-conference collegiate softball doubleheader with Santa Clara at La Rue Field on Thursday. The Aggies won the first game, 4-3, on Gonzalez' game-winning hit in the eighth; then the Broncos scored four in the top of the seventh inning to claim a 4-0 victory in the nightcap.

Matador Softball Rallies to 3-1, Extra Innings Victory over Colorado State

The Cal State Northridge softball team (8-12) defeated Colorado State, 3-1, in eight innings Thursday night in the opening game of the Bayer CropScience Classic on the campus of Fresno State. Hannah Fraijo tossed a complete game in the circle and Jaci Carlsen delivered a key two-run double for the Matadors.
