Junior outside hitter Kayla Varney tallied a team-high 18 kills and .382 hitting, while junior right-side Melanie Adams added 13 kills and a pair of aces to lift UC Davis to a five-set, 25-19, 23-25, 14-25, 25-21, 18-16, at UC Santa Barbara in Big West Conference women's volleyball action at the Thunderdome Saturday night.
