UC Riverside Set to Host UCR Invitational this Weekend

UC Riverside is set to host the 29th Annual UC RIverside Invitational this weekend.

The UC Riverside Invitational will be on the marquee this weekend in the Big West as a multitude of quality programs descend on Riversde for the 29th annual meet.

The regionally-ranked men's and women's Highlander squads will see Big West foes Cal State Northridge, Long Beach State and UC Santa Barbara among the teams in competition at the UCR Ags/Ops Cross Country Course, the same course that will be used for the Big West Championships in six weeks.

A year ago, UCR fared extremely well at its home meet, winning the men’s race for the second consecutive season, while finishing second behind perennial national power Brigham Young in the women’s event.

Cal State Fullerton and a split 49er squad will also be in action over the upcoming weekend as they head to San Diego for the 65th Annual Aztec Invitational hosted by San Diego State.
