Long Beach State head coach Jenny Hilt-Costello inked the No. 23-ranked women's tennis recruiting class according to website www.tennisrecruiting.net.

Long Beach State's incoming recruiting class received a top 25 national ranking as voted upon by a panel of junior tennis experts at www.tennisrecruiting.net.  The website tabbed the 49er class No. 23 in the latest ranking following the most recent recruiting period.

This marks the first-ever women's tennis recruiting class in the Big West to receive national recognition.  In addition, Long Beach State is one of just two schools outside the BCS conferences and Ivy League on the list, joining Pepperdine in the tennisrecruiting.net rankings.

The 49ers, coming off their sixth straight Big West Tournament championship, bring in three international recruits in Jaklin Alawi, Anna Jeczmionka and Klaudia Malenovska.  The three players infuse some new talent to a program which loses four-time Big West Player of the Year Hannah Grady to graduation.
