Pacific sophomore Jenifer Widjaja learned she will face Aurelija Miseviciute of Arkansas in the first round of the 2009 NCAA Women's Tennis Singles Championships on Wednesday, May 20 at the George P. Mitchell Tennis Center in College Station, Tex.  Texas A&M is the host school.

The 64-player field includes the top eight national seeds and eight additional players, who are seeded 9-16 alphabetically.  Miseviciute is the No. 3 seed in the tournament and ranked No. 2 in the Campbell/ITA singles rankings.  Widjaja earned an automatic bid to the championship as the highest ranked singles player from the Big West.  She is No. 92 nationally.

First serve between the two competitors takes place at 5:00 p.m. (CDT).  The winner of that match returns to action on Thursday, May 21 in the round of 32, drawing either Florida's Anastasia Revzina or California's Marina Cossou.

Widjaja, a first team All-Big West selection in singles, owns an 18-4 record in dual matches.  The native of Sao Roque, Sao Paulo, Brazil was ranked as high as No. 84 in the Campbell/ITA rankings on Mar. 31.

She is the first Tiger since Tracee Lee in 1994 to compete in the NCAA Singles Championships.
