Cal Poly Tops UC Irvine 1-0, Clinches Berth in Big West Tourney
Sophomore Morgan Miller scored in the 17th minute for the only goal of the match, and Cal Poly clinched at least third place in the Big West with a 1-0 victory over UC Irvine Friday night before 212 fans at Alex G Spanos Stadium. The Mustangs improved to 10-8-0 on the season and 5-2-0 in conference play with the victory while the Anteaters’ tournament hopes took a big hit as they fell to 8-8-2 overall and 2-3-2 in the Big West.
