She suffered a tough loss thanks to an error in the eighth, allowing just two earned runs (three overall) and seven hits in the eight-inning defeat.
Doucette bounced back for a win in the finale, allowing just three hits, no runs, no walks and striking out five in CSF’s 3-0 win. She retired 14 in a row at one point in the game and faced just three batters over the minimum.
In all, Doucette held the potent Long Beach offense to a .182 batting average and just one extra-base hit over her two starts.
