Pacific owns at least a three-game lead over every team in the Big West men's basketball standings, except for second place UC Santa Barbara.  The Gauchos are in hot pursuit of the league-leading Tigers, just one-half game back.  Both teams have only one conference game on the ledger this week.

This week's schedule could potentially produce the third different first place team in as many weeks as the race for the top spot in the women’s standings heats up for the stretch run.

The third annual Big West Coin Drive returns to the nine conference campuses throughout the month of February as each school's Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) collects coins and donates the funds to charity.

Cal State Northridge's 3-1 record at the Triton Invitational was good enough for 5th place at the event.  The Matadors are now 7-1 on the season.
